Our team are bursting with ideas to put into practice. Our next project is ‘Loose Parts’.
Loose parts are materials that can be moved, carried, combined, redesigned, lined up, and taken apart and put back together in multiple ways. Loose parts can be used alone or combined with other materials. There is no set of specific directions for materials that are considered loose parts. The pedagogical approach for loose parts is to enable children to undertake their own learning using everyday objects rather than ‘toys’..
We are introducing a scent table featuring small bottles of interesting scents and their matching picture. Children can learn the smell of cinnamon, mint, vanilla, orange, thyme and others and learn where they come from.
